GeForce Experience At E3 2018: More Games Add Ansel and Highlights

Featured Stories, E3 2018, NVIDIA Ansel, NVIDIA Highlights

A month doesn’t go by without us updating or enhancing GeForce Experience, a free companion application for GeForce GTX GPUs that makes PC gaming accessible and effortless.

This week, at E3 2018 in Los Angeles, we’re keeping the momentum going with new game collaborations, and a new feature for our GIF creation tool. For all the details, read on.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Adds Ansel and Highlights

Square Enix’s eagerly-anticipated Shadow of the Tomb Raider launches this September, and we’re collaborating with Square Enix, Eidos-Montréal, Crystal Dynamics, and Nixxes to craft the best possible PC experience. That includes optimization and testing, and the addition of exciting technology like NVIDIA Ansel and NVIDIA Highlights.

With NVIDIA Ansel you’ll be able to capture and frame your own unique in-game screenshots, and with NVIDIA Highlights your best and most memorable moments will be automatically recorded to easily-shared video clips.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider features support for NVIDIA Ansel, enabling you to take incredible in-game photos from virtually any angle

Further info can be found in our dedicated Shadow of the Tomb Raider article, where you can also see extra NVIDIA Ansel screenshots, and the world’s first 4K PC gameplay footage.

Turn Your Highlights Into GIFs, Then Add Text

In March, we added the option to convert any NVIDIA Highlights video clip into a GIF, for quick and easy sharing on social media, websites, and forums:

Now, you can add text to these GIFs, emphasizing funny moments, or adding context for the viewer:

To make a GIF with text, press Alt+Z to open the GeForce Experience overlay, enter the Gallery, find a NVIDIA Highlights video clip, open it, select Animated GIF as the Format for Facebook, Google Photos or Weibo, then click the “Add Text” button on the upper right.

Switchblade: 5v5 Vehicular Action Game Takes Aim At NVIDIA Highlights

If you like the idea of MOBAs, but want something a bit more immediate, with direct WASD control, then the upcoming Switchblade might be for you. In Switchblade, teams of five face off one another in arenas with towers and mobs, and a ton of action elements.

Being so frantic, it’s easy to miss spectacular moments, so Switchblade’s developers over at Lucid Games will be adding NVIDIA Highlights to the live beta in the not too distant future.

If you want to join the beta, head on over to the Switchblade website and sign up, and then get your copy of GeForce Experience up to date so you use NVIDIA Highlights.

Dirty Bomb’s Best Moments Will Soon Be Captured By NVIDIA Highlights

Like Switchblade, Dirty Bomb will soon add NVIDIA Highlights, enabling players of the fast-paced team-based first-person shooter to have their sprees, data core deliveries, clutch defensive moves, and other moments automatically recorded and saved.

Dirty Bomb is free to play and can be downloaded from Steam.
