Blacklight: Retribution Launching With DirectX 11 Tech & Tessellation

At the Game Developers Conference 2012, GeForce UK’s Kris Rey met with Jared Gerritzen to discuss Zombie Studios’ Blacklight: Retribution, a free-to-play first-person shooter featuring some tasty tech.
“We’re one of the first Unreal Engine 3 developers to be using DirectX 11,” revealed Jared, “and are using all the bells and whistles that you expect and see in the tech demos, such as tessellation, all the Post Processing Effects... just getting it looking as cool and sparkly as possible as you expect on a high-end graphics card.”
As with other free-to-play titles, gamers can acquire new weapons, items and characters using experience earned through gameplay, or spend real money to accelerate their progress, but not their in-game power.
